Project Meeting in Nürnberg

On the 18th and 19th of September 2014 the third consortium meeting of the GeTVivid project took place in Nürnberg. The central goal of the third GeTVivid project meeting was to provide an overview of all ongoing activities in the project, as well as to discuss open issues. At the meeting on the first day, an overview of the upcoming end user evaluation was giving and the results from the first evaluation (i.e., design workshops) were presented and discussed. During the meeting, the iterated user interface design sketches were presented and all technical partners provided an update on their developments throughout the last months. In the afternoon, the Verein für Menschen mit körperlicher Behinderung organized a get together with their end users, where the current prototype was demonstrated and upcoming activities were introduced for them. The TV for the demonstration was provided by the Radio Eck a local shop providing radio and television technologies.

 

The social event in the evening started with a guided walk through Nürnberg to see the main sights. The evening faded out with a nice dinner and some drinks.

 

On the second day, first insights from the business requirements analyses were presented and how to proceed in order to develop first business case models in the upcoming months. Additionally, the scrum user stories for the development of the system were iterated in order to plan the upcoming sprints. The technical partners had lots of good and intense discussions.

The following project partners were represented at the meeting, i.e. Christiane Moser and Bernhard Maurer from the ICT&S Center as well as Bernhard Feldbacher from the Computer Science Department of the University of Salzburg (Austria), Manuel Eisele from the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland), Fabian Schiller and Matteo Harutunian from the Institut für Rundfunktechnik GmbH (Germany), Micheal Eitelberg and Nasser Altaani from Hövener & Trapp Evision GmbH (Germany), Victor Sanchez and Juan Bautista Martin from Ingenieria y Soluciones Informaticas del Sur, S.L. (Spain). From the end-user organizations participated Eveline Hirsbrunner from CURAVIVA Verband Heime und Institutionen (Switzerland), Eva Reithner from EURAG (Austria), Petra Schaller and Harald Konschewitz, who hosted the project meeting, at the Verein für Menschen mit körperlicher Behinderung (Germany).
